Liz Armstrong

Liz Armstrong’s book, The Little Bastard Won’t Bite …and everything else your pet sitter needs to know, was written to provide information for anyone caring for your pets while you are away – pet sitters, family members, neighbors or friends.

  • Space is provided for you to fill out every single thing your pet(s) might need or want during your absence, as well as important contact persons and organizations that could provide emergency services.

  • There are additional forms describing your home and neighborhood, which vehicles and electronics are available for the sitter’s use, your police, your plumber, your electrician, where to go, who to see, what to avoid, and more; you want your pet sitter to have every bit of information necessary to ensure your pets, and you, enjoy your time away.

The book lumps pet owners into three categories, arranged along a continuum of concern –

  • The Blasé
  • The Lover
  • The Besotted

Captioned pictures of pets belonging to Liz’s friends (mostly the Lovers and Besotteds) add life to the 285 pages of The Little Bastard ….   And Liz’s dog, Max, for whom the book is named, eyes you from the book’s front cover.

Liz Armstrong shares a home in Gulfport, Florida, with her daughter Anne, and their dogs, Max and George Harrison.  Liz holds several degrees in psychology and serves as clinical director in a program for substance-abusing drivers.  She is the author of a number of newspaper and magazine articles, as well as an unpublished novel, Small Murders.
